The Batesville High School Drama Club will have its first get-together on Thursday, September 8th from 7:00 - 8:15 in the BHS auditorium. Come and get to know the other students interested in the theater. There will be drama games for you to participate in or just watch from the audience. If you are unable to attend but are interested in auditioning for the fall show, please contact Mrs. Lisa Barnett at BMS. She needs a rough estimate of how many people are interested in being in the fall play.

2010-2011 yearbooks are in! See Miss Cunningham in A110 before school, after school, or during SRT to pick up or buy your copy! The cost is $50.

Ripley County Local Coordinating Council Against Substance Abuse presents a Ripley County Community Wide Event on Thursday, Sept. 1, 7:00-8:30 p.m. at Versailles Baptist Church Family Life Center. Hear personal stories of addiction and recovery featuring Angel Schiering. Questions contact ripleylcc@hotmail.com.

Student drivers are reminded not to park in the band practice area of the back parking lot until football season is over.

On Wednesday, September 7th, 2011, from 6:00 pm-8:30 pm, the Career Center will be hosting an Open House, a College Fair, and a Chili Supper all in one! The Open House will allow students to introduce their parents/guardians to their instructors and to show them where they spend half of their day. The College Fair will provide students and their parents with information regarding the many options available to them at many different colleges, such as: Wyoming Tech, Ivy Tech, International Business College, Ohio Technical College (OTC), Sullivan University, Cincinnati State, Vincennes University, Lincoln College of Technology, Universal Technical Institute (UTI, MMI, & NTI), University of Northern Ohio, Nashville Auto Diesel College, Christ College of Nursing, The Chef's Academy, Brown Mackie College, the School of Advertising Art, and many more.

College Go Week will be held Sept. 26-30, 2011. This year they have done a great job this year of updating their website with very valuable information:
- admission requirements for all Indiana colleges
- Indiana colleges who are waiving their application fee during this week
- college maps and profiles

CLUB NEWS:
NHS will meet Thursday, Sept. 1 during the 3rd segment of SRT in the Distance Learning Room.

The next SADD meeting will be Sept. 7 at 7:30 in A110, Miss Cunningham's room.

SPORTS NEWS:
The Batesville Boys Varsity Tennis team defeated East Central 3-2 Tuesday. The JV was also victorious over East Central by the Score of 5-1. The Varsity improved it's record to 3-2 while JV is now 4-0-1.

Girls Soccer Scores: Varsity lost tonight 3-2 vs South Dearborn. JV lost 1-0.

Volleyball Scores: Batesville splits upper level matches with Tigers. Varsity (5-2, 2-1 EIAC) Lawrenceburg 25-21, 25-22, 24-26, 22-25, 15-9. JV (5-2, 2-1 EIAC) Batesville 24-25, 25-16, 15-6. The Freshman Lady Dogs lost in 3 to the Tigers 25-18; 15-25; and 14-15. It was a tough battle, making our record 4-4.

Boys Soccer Scores: Tuesday 8/30 at South Dearborn: Reserve: BHS 3 - SD 0; Varsity BHS 6- SD 4.

The Batesville Lady Bulldogs traveled to Brookhill golf course and defeated the Franklin County Wildcats 212 – 216.

Day of Game: $15 at the door only. Also may be purchased through Lucas Oil Ticket offices.
Commemorative Lucas Oil East Central vs. Batesville t-shirts are available for $10 at BHS. (Only 100 available)
Parking / Fan Buses: Parking is available in the South Lot for buses at $40. Cars cost $10 for the South Lot. There are several lots around Lucas Oil that may be cheaper. Tailgating is permitted in the Lucas Oil Stadium parking lots. However, fans are restricted to one spot per vehicle. There are special lots available to accommodate bigger tailgating activities close to the stadium.
