The Batesville Bulldog Brigade (marching band) will perform tonight on WKRC, Channel 12 in Cincinnati, beginning at 11:18. We will be the feature band for Brad Johansen's Friday Night Lights. Check us out or set your DVR for the 11 p.m. news.
Any male senior interested in cheering for powderpuff, sign up in Mrs. Lacey's room by the end of the day Friday.
There will be a Mandatory Senior meeting on Thursday, Oct. 6 during the 3rd segment of SRT in the auditorium.

Anyone interested in registering to vote can pick up a registration form in Mr. Cox's room (F205). To be eligible, you must be 18 years old on or before November 8th, 2011.
Want to earn service hours? Grab a broom and come help clean the Romweber Marketplace. Help with decorating for an upcoming community haunted house will also be needed at a later date. Call Mary Ellen Rippe at 513-519-9936 for info.
2010-2011 yearbooks are in! See Miss Cunningham in A110 before school, after school, or during SRT to pick up or buy your copy! The cost is $50.

GUIDANCE NOTES:
Any senior who lives in Ripley County and is interested in applying for the Ripley County Community Foundations Lilly Scholarship must attend a meeting on October 4th during the 2nd part of SRT. The Ripley County Community Foundations representatives will in BHS Innovation Room (A111) to discuss the Lilly process. Any student who cannot attend must see Mr. Maple or Mr. Thomson Oct. 5th to pick up any information missed.

The National Association for College Admission Counseling is sponsoring the Indianapolis National College Fair at the Indianapolis Convention Center on Tuesday, October 11th, 2011. Students can individually register at http://www.gotomyncf.com. This allows students to register online before a fair, by entering their information and receiving a personalized barcode. Students take the barcode with them to the Fair and schools can easily scan this barcode with their rented scanners and retrieve student information, including name, age, academic interests and test scores.

CLUB NEWS:
SKI CLUB - it is time to sign up for Ski Club!! Anyone interested should stop by Mrs. Lake's room to pick up a brochure and the information needed to sign up online.
KSLA will meet Tuesday, Oct. 4 during the 3rd segment of SRT.
Student Council will meet Thursday, Oct. 6 during the 3rd segment of SRT in the Distance Learning Room.

SPORTS NEWS:
The BHS girls cross country team placed 3rd out of 14 teams at the Greensburg Invitational last night. Holly Keck earned a medal in 10th place and Hannah Lehfeldt was a top 20 finisher scoring 12th.
The BHS boys cross country team placed 6th at the meet. Nick Vodzak in 12th and Garrett Yorn in 20th led the team.
Boys Soccer: JV: BHS 1- Connersville 0 *game called in the 57th minute due to lightning; Varsity: Game cancelled due to weather and poor field conditions.
Freshman Football: Batesville won a defensive struggle 8-6.
Boys Tennis Sectional: Played at South Dearborn High School
The Batesville Boys Tennis team earned a spot in the semi-finals of the sectional by sweeping East Central in singles, while the doubles were unable to finish due to rain. Doubles will resume play prior to the semi-final match against Lawrenceburg on Friday. Doubles will start at 4:30 and the Batesville/Lawrenceburg match will start immediately afterwards. The championship will be Saturday, 10/1 at 9:00 a.m.
