Mrs. Becky Brown's SiteWelcome to first grade! My name is Becky Brown, and I will be your child’s teacher this year. I would like to take this opportunity to tell you a little about myself and about our upcoming school year.I have been teaching for the Batesville Community School Corporation for twenty-two years. I have taught Learning Disabilities and Mildly Mentally Handicapped students for twelve years. This will be my tenth year teaching first grade. I graduated from Marian College in 1989 with a major in elementary education and a minor in special education. I received my masters in learning disabilities from Ball State in 1993. My husband, Bob, works for Hill-Rom. Bob and I have two children. Our daughter, Kelly, is eleven years old and our son, Eric, is eight. I am looking forward to an exciting school year with your child. My goal, my mission as a teacher, is to help your child have a positive attitude about himself or herself, about others, and about learning. I want to help your child reach his or her fullest potential. I hold high expectations for your child, and I will do all I can to help him or her meet those expectations. I am asking for your assistance in reaching this goal. As a team, I know we can make this one of the best learning experiences for your child. Please encourage your child to always do his or her best and to follow school and classroom rules.
