Miss Volk's SiteWelcome to the St. Louis School Kindergarten Program. I am so happy you have chosen St. Louis School to begin your child's education. I look forward to not only working with your child, but also working with you this year. You will be a very important partner in your child's learning throughout the year.Now, a little bit about myself. I have taught both First Grade and Kindergarten while at St. Louis. I graduated from Purdue University with a B.S. degree in Child Development and Family Studies with an emphasis in Nursery/Kindergarten Teaching. I also have my Primary certification and M.A. in Education from Ball State University. I enjoy teaching and working with Kindergarten children. They are eager learners that are like sponges when learning information. Opportunities for learning will involve the whole child. Your child will be learning through a variety of learning experiences involving a variety of teaching methods. Working together and doing the assigned homework will help your child work to achieve his/her best potential. I will send home weekly news letters and homework sheets. You will also be sent report cards to help you know how your child is doing. There are also Parent-Teacher conferences in October. I look forward to a wonderful year teaching your child! |
