Dear Readers, Welcome to Mrs. Laker's English website. It will be a whirlwind year for English 9. Students will study short stories, poetry, drama, the epic and literary analysis/response and grammar in depth. We will also learn SAT vocabulary words. Freshmen might feel overwhelmed and the hurried pace might intimidate them. They will need support from their guardians and they will need to study most nights to earn a "C" or above. I also instruct the Indiana University Advanced College Project courses, W131 Elementary Composition and L202 Literary Interpretation.
