My name is Dala A. Vonderheide, and I am the EBD
(emotional/behavioral disabilities) Resource
Teacher at Batesville Intermediate School.
I am a graduate of Rushville Consolidated High
School, received my Bachelor's Degree in
elementary education from Indiana State University,
received my Master's Degree in elementary
education from Ball State University, and am
licensed to teach the Seriously Emotionally
Handicapped in grades K-12.
I am please to tell you that this year marks my 31th
year in education (11 at the first grade
level, 14 at the fifth grade level, and 6 in the area of
Special Education). The children are the key to my
longevity. Everyday in education brings new and
challenging opportunities to practice my skills. I
serve as a resource teacher and work with those
students whose social skills, emotions, and/or
behaviors may get in the way of doing their best
academically. I love my job!!!
My husband, Scott, and I have been married for
29 years and are the proud parents of four children.
Amy Vonderheide Bultinck (29), our oldest
daughter, is married to Tony Bultinck and gave birth
on May 9, 2006, to my first grandchild, a girl, Hope
Mackenzie Bultinck. She is a teacher at New
Palestine High School and lives in Indianapolis. J.D.
(26), our oldest son, is a 2004 graduate of Miami
University in Oxford, OH, with a degree in
education and was a 5-year member of the
Redhawk Football team. He is currently a Graduate
Assistant with the Redhawk Football team and
coaches the quarterbacks. Jeni (22), child number
3, is a senior at Miami University in Oxford, OH,
majoring in Psychology. Her future plans include
becoming a middle or high school counselor, and
Keevan (14), child number 4, is an 8th grader at
Batesville Middle School and is a member of the 8th
grade football team.
I live at 16 Hickory Lane in Lake of the Woods
in Batesville. I am a member of St. John's United
Church of Christ in Batesville where I am a member
of the Chancel Choir, Director of Vacation Bible
School, and sing with the Easter Sunrise Service
Ecumenical Choir. Fall and Football are two of my
favorite things. I also like to read when time allows.
But my most favorite thing is spending time with
family.
I look forward to working with you and your
child this year to make it the best year ever. Feel
free to contact me at school (934-5701, ext.
