Hello! Welcome to Kindergarten! My name is Mrs. Luann Helvie. I am excited about another great year at BPS. This is my 23rd year to teach for Batesville Schools. Fourteen years in first grade and nine years in Kindergarten have added up to lots of fun and memories. I graduated from Carroll Jr.-Sr. High School in Flora, IN. I then attended Ball State University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education with a Kindergarten endorsement. I also earned my Masters from Ball State Universtiy in Special Education - Learning Disabilites. My husband, Bryan, is the managing editor of The Herald Tribune, the eighth grade boys basketball coach at Batesville Middle School, and the girls varsity tennis coach at Batesville High School. We have one daughter. Emily is a sophomore at Batesville High School. She loves school and is a joy!
