Learning Center for Mrs. Kirschner's Site
I am very excited to be the junior high Literature teacher here at St. Louis Catholic School. Literature class consists of analyzing literature, writing, oral speaking skills, and Accelerated Reader. In addition to teaching literature, I have an 8th grade homeroom, and am a building mentor. In addition, I am also the athletic director.
After receiving my BA in Communications from the College of Mount St. Joseph, I worked in management for 6 years. Several years later, I went back to Mount St. Joseph and earned a Masters of Education in Professional Standards. I am currently certified in Indiana for grades 5 – 12 in the areas of English and all communications (theater, journalism, yearbook and speech). My passion lies in teaching junior high age students, and I feel fortunate to be able to further my professional calling in a Catholic school. In December, I will begin working on my administrative licence.
Please feel free to contact me to discuss any concerns, suggestions or questions you might have. I am honored to be able to play a small role in the academic and spiritual development of your child.
I saw Christ at St. Louis School in every child who brought in food items for the Food Pantry. Please keep all those less fortunate in our thoughts and prayers during this holiday season.
